The medications used in MAT work to reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms, making it easier for people to stay sobor. The counseling and behavioral therapies help people to develop coping skills and to address the underlying issues that may have contributed to their addiction.

MAT is highly effective treatment for opioid addiction. Studies have shown that people who recieve MAT are more likely to stay sober than those who do not receive MAT.
